I have never seen any white person who works harder than a black person in my field. I know and have seen that they were getting paid much more until I exposed the truth.

what absolute hogwash, whites got away for years with doing absolutely ****all, ( public servants were even more pathetic than they are now - plus you couldn't complain ) under Apartheid, now they can't compete with qualified competent, blacks, coloureds and indians - agh shame - I feel sorry for you -
They are so incompetent that when they leave the country they only find work as semi-skilled labourers, yet they want to say they are experts - what a laugh -
It's not so easy now to get away with doing nothing, now that Oom Oosthuizen is not there to protect your job anymore
I know many white people I have to constantly help because they don't even know basic computer operations - I told one guy the other day to email me a report - his response - Wat wil jy he ek moet doen ?

Most major corporations in SA are still run by White people and most upper management positions are still filled by white people.
I have changed jobs about 5 times since Apartheid ended and never once been discriminated against because of my colour.
Maybe I'm just lucky? Or to pretty not to hire

You're absolutely right - the blacks are running this country like absolute champs, um, that is the corruption part of it. For the rest, they are bloody incompetant. Shame, when was the last time you had to query your water & lights bill?

Really? South Africa has a massive shortage of Doctors, Nurses, Pathologists, Engineers, Psychologists, etc since a vast majority of them have packed their bags and left. Don't be so dismissive of other people's ideas all the time dude, you are really becoming the forum bitch.

@ xtermin8or interesting if your argunment holds water why is ot so easy for me to find work in the USA, Audtralia and the UK and in SA have to look and hard for some one even to look at my cv if I'm white...
I went to work in the US on secondment a few years ago, some EE canditates were complaining that they don't get to go so obviously they were sent with aswell... guess who the americans sent back within two weeks .... i rest my case..

Quite funny that you say that. The South African labour market is rated as having the greatest disparity between productivity and remuneration. Guess who makes up the labour market - that's right - mostly black workers.

Seriously guy, you are the epitome of what is wrong with the black mindset. Do you really think public service delivery got better? Has the quality of life gone up? Do you really think whites are having are hard time competing (fairly) against blacks and indians?
If you look at the statistics, the current generation of blacks that are in a high position are plagued with corruption, nepotism and incompetence. Jeesh, we are the joke of the world thanks to our health minister and 90% of our parliament admits to stealing money in the airline saga. Why are these people still in place? Because of people like you that say "No, our black brothers are doing a fine job!".

Every gov is riddled with corruption and nepotism. The previous government was the worst ever with nepotism.
This country has got some things right and some things wrong.
The biggest problem this country still has is people like *** who are so quick to divide everything along racial lines...
Our economy is very strong, my quality of life is very high and I am still optimistic about our future. Else I wouldn't be here I am lucky enough to have the choice.
I read the article in the Sunday Times - took it off head. But it was something like 3/4, so the amount is staggering. They interviewed some ANC bigwig and asked why these people haven't been fired.
Went along the lines of:
"If someone steals they should be fired right?"
RE: "Yes, that would be better"
"So why are these people still in office if they admit to stealing?"
RE: "Because the ANC doesn't work that way"
Makes sense, now doesn't it. And Gavin, everything in this country is divided along racial lines. I went to pitch for a backend system the other day. The guy gave me one look; didn't ask to see our previous work or profiles, he wanted to know what stake I have in the company. When I told him 50% (the other 50% is black owned), he told me "You *maybe* have a chance".
I'm thinking, that's a pretty clear cut racial divide right there!
In the mining field, most whites are as uneducated as the Black People working in the stope face underground, yet, they earn 10-20 times more. Now, with the SAQA and MQA which will level out skills, they are now threathened.
Please, don't tell me they work harder than the slaves who dig the gold. I know most of them are lazy shift bosses who can only say one word "pikinini, get me some water"
Nothing in history is attributed to the grunt. They are freely available, but it takes someone great to mobilize them. I'm not saying this "great person" is exclusively white, but black government / business hasn't built anything to impress yet. They are awesome at renaming stuff though.
Who got the glory for building the pyramids - the phaoros or the slaves?

Another amusing article I read in the newspaper was that whites are responsible for 95% of the research currently occuring in RSA. That's a sad reflection...
What all this boils down to is that I wouldn't mind if the govt is black, as long as they pull their weight.

I'm not going into a pissing contest here but just look at some of our black businessman (who where rich before BEE) and what about Mandela, Kofi Anna, Botswana, Namibia...... Moazmbique is also now doing pretty well.
Time to take a look around you and see that it's not all falling apart. It's not all great either though. Just let be reasonable....

Yes, service delivery has improved. The Apartheid govt only had to service a small percentage of the population, and still managed to mess that up, as far as corruption and nepotism is concerned they were the absolute champs at that, probably the most corrupt govt.
Has the quality of life gone up - YES OH YES - I can go where I want, when I want, say what i want, where i want - and countless other freedoms - for one that has improved
The difference between the NP Govt and ANC Govt in terms of corruption - The ANC allows their corruption to be exposed and deals with it - the Nats never did - that' swhy fools like some on this forum - believe that the Nats were clean - but then again - they couldn't be expected to bite the hand that fed them
