I gave the Matte Black one look and decided on the Jet Black instead. Micro abrasions everywhere but it still looks good.
I gave the Jet Black one look and decided on the Matte Black. No micro abrasions anywhere and still looks perfect!![]()
Matte Black reminded me too much of the Slate IPhone 5.
Which gets me thinking, are these phones made to be used without covers ? Apple does not make covers and cases
Jet Black reminded me how many micro abrasions it would get in a matter of days and how terrible it would look after having it for a short time.
Considering even Apple cautioned about micro abrasions (scratching/scuffing) meant that Apple had not done anything to prevent it.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, Jet Black is beautiful, but until Apple are able to eliminate the micro abrasions, I will stick to Matte Black
You really cant see it unless you look at it under perfect lighting. Anyway, the fingerprints cover the scratches up.
Yup and that's the other reason I didn't go for Jet Black. Fingerprints. So not only does it scratch easily but it also looks horrible from the fingerprints and you have to keep wiping it to make it look nice. No thanks. Will still stick to Matte Black until Apple fixes these issues.
Since when has fingerprints become an issue? I mean the touch screen is already plastered with the stuff...
Difference is that you don't see the fingerprints when the screen is on. It's only when it's off that you see it.
To each his own then. I can't be bothered with fingerprints and scratches.
Exactly. I'm not bashing the Jet Black at all. It's beautiful. Just for me it wasn't what I wanted based on these issues. I'm OCD like this, if I have a brand new iPhone and it looks like Iv had it for 10 years then I'm not going to be a happy chappy at all.
