The biggest problem in this country is that a minority of people are taxed, and it is this minority that benefits the least from that tax money. In a real socialist country the majority would be taxed and that tax would benefit all citizens, and even more so if you have a high salary.

However, you rates from your property should directly benefit you as this is money especially taken to ensure the smooth running of your district. Sigh, I miss the days before it all got lost in the mega-city coffers.

all the threads over the past day are related to education ( lack of ) of the present government officials, they are in a corner and all their failings are coming to the fore.

They "fought" for control and when they got it they believed that everything would be perfect, but unfortunately they have no experience in running anything as large as a country.

So in their panic they are playing the blame game, and unfortunately that means imposing the belief that "whitey" is evil and the cause of all the failures.

The masses ( uneducated ) believe what "their" leaders tell them and the evil anti-apartheid whites bear the blunt, but as the masses get more educated they will start to realise that government can and should be held accountable.

The anc will rule for as long as the majority stay poor and uneducated and can dream of having what malema etc. have.

I saw the transcript of the whole cluster meeting thingy, either the minister failed to say 280 taxpayer "associations" or the person taking the notes missed the associations part.

Later on in the same transcript paragraph taxpayer associations is mentioned several times

Not with the current state of the education system you won't. And I don't see that changing any time soon. Quite the opposite in fact. One could even suggest that the ANC prefers the education system exactly as it is now. Propaganda works best on the poorly educated.
