Who buys used Laptops??

Actually, I think you'd have some buyers were you not horribly overcharging for it and had it a warranty which in effect it doesn't, being from the US.
My girlfriend bought her mother the same machine with 2gb RAM, around the same time last year, for R9000.

I agree, the asking price for the laptop is too much, and its second hand, people dont generally shell out 12k for something thats used and has no warranty or guarantee, or atleast i wouldnt

Thanks guys
I just figured seeing how it retails at like R16 000 , R12 000 would be good!
Guess im wrong... Will lower price shortly!

It might sell if vaseline was included, to reduce the burning sensation

Ya, geez, that's way too much.

My Dell Studio 1537's specs:
Core 2 Duo T5800 @ 2.0GHz
2 x 1GB DDR RAM
250GB HDD
Slot load DVD driver
15.4" WLED WXGA display (this is the kicker)

And you can get it brand new with 3 year next-business-day warranty for under R11k

good spec laptop, you will have a better chance at selling it if u lower the price, try www.ecr.co.za, don't forget to mention u are in CT..

I would pay around 4-5k? Laptops are high risk - for all I know you dropped it and kicked it around a little....

Great laptop, but the 25Gig HDD is rather small....

Most of the used laptops I have bought in the past I paid less than 50% of a comparable new machine. Even when there is still a substantial manufacturers warranty remaining you will seldom find that you can get more than 60%.

TBH there is not a very good market for used notebooks.
