Who does freelancing?

Hi all,

So with 2020 being what it is and a really slow year, I have loads of available time and should start spending it more productively. Day job is super uneventful at the moment, so need to get cracking at something else. I've looked at some side hustle ideas, but in the end probably best to use my main skills being a programmer.

The reason for the post, is to find out how other programmers went about securing projects and clients? Let's not beat around the bush - I'm no web designer or the next hip funky mobile app developer. So looking for some proper backend, solid DB and integration projects.

Any tips?

Things must be tough when you need to put your own company on the front page.

You will notice that you seriously do not need to be learning crazy design principles and the like in the beginning. Can make a few bob by using plain templates.

Money availabe in that field as well.
I know of a few folks that started small with DIY and went over to maintenence of buildinga and construction.

Whatever you place your heart and mind to will bring success. Even if it's not always monetary success.
