Who here eats Fish Paste?

yesterday my 6yo took a sealed bottle out the cupboard and ate that with most of a cheese spread jar from the fridge with a spoon :/

I have been saying this since the thread started. It is made in the same factory in Saldanah using the same ingredients.
What??? LOL
I had no idea, now next time I buy Im gonna buy both jars and make toast at the exact same time using both jars and see if there is a taste difference

It is raining quite nice, and now I wish I had toast with fish paste on it.
I just had sardines on buttered toast with lots of salt and black pepper....and of course a cup of tea. Tastes just as good, and no concerns about the whole jar going vrot if some idiot leaves a small speck of butter or crumb in it.

I see Pecks is the original
Then Redro started up later

My kids have only now discovered Fish Paste and they love it.

I'm only pissed of there is no bread in the house this morning as fish paste on toasted bread cut into finger slices is the best for a cold wet Cape morning like today.

Totally agree, and MightyQuin is correct, if there is any residual of butter or anything that goes into the jar then the fishpaste goes off very quickly, happened to me many times, now I just make sure that once it is opened I finish the jar in the same week.

Im still gonna try Pecks vs Redro, there was a thread sometime back asking which one do you prefer.
