Who is capped?

im on telkom internet 3gb advanced, not capped yet, on 6gb usage. Also not didnt reach cap of my local only openweb and webafrica prepaid. using 384kb line.
 
No more over 3gb on Telkom accounts ????

i'm on the 3gb telkom account - i am prob near 3gb and have just noticed i can't log into my account to check usage - presuming i'm capped!!!... anybody else having this problem??? - i'm affraid that if i do log off and back in again that i will be capped!!!!

Because if i'm right... then that means telkom has done away with going over your 3gb. : (

I'm over my 3gb and have been logging on and off all day.

Maybe they're just going after you - abuser! :p :)
 
So adsl.telkomsa.net doesn't work for you eh?

.... i'm not running any proxies atm.
 
here's another thing... i can log into my capped account with this - and this says 9.1gigs which is quite pathetic since i usually do alot more...

as for the account i'm on now - says 3.4gig and still cant log into it on the SAIX website.
 
Capped. Telkom Internet 3GB Premium. 10.xGB. 2006/08/22.

Cannot authenticate after capping.
 
This all depends whether the ISP has adsl timeouts set to the amount of bandwidth remaining. Say if you have 1GB left, you may be disconnected every 3 hours, then once you have reached 500mb's you may be disconnected every 1 hour until your cap has been reached. Some ISP's give you the choice to disable timeouts, after agreeing to terms and conditions, which usually state that you pay for what you use after your cap.
 
I've got a 3GB Telkom acc and have used up +- 3.6GB.

When I tried to log on last night, I got a PAP Authentication error... does this mean I've been capped or is Telkom having problems?
 
Hmm... I also have problems dialling up though.

I called Telkom, and first thing on their support line is "we are experience authentication problems". The useless support operator said that they have been experiencing authentication problems with some accounts since last night and they have no idea when the issue will be resolved.

This hopefully means that I haven't yet been capped!
 
There is a authentication problem today. Dont be alarmed. cant get onto my account either.
 
Nope, my account was working again 2 or 3 hours later
 
screw this then.im gona go dl some stuff then.

if i get CAPPED at 2 gigs il be very dissapointed with all of you telling me not to be scared :)

lol, I never said dont be scared. I usually did about 15GB in a month, I nowhere near that.. cause I dont wanna be capped. but I have another 4GB loaded on WebAfrica so I am happy.
