Why an ISPA member?

Wow they must be bored, that was a dry sandy article.
Mind you my wisp is with the wispa (try say that 10times fast)
The only good from these things is when icasa says no to something all these members pay a big ass law firm and sue.
If i remember the last one was with altech and the wispa going at icasa for the right to build there own networks.

It should have read:

Choosing one of ISPA members, gives you the peace of mind of knowing that the service provider you are working with, will rip you off and the chances that they deliver any kind of support is minimal.

Ever tried lodging a complaint with ISPA?

This useless (for consumers) organisation's aim is to protect its members bottom line.

yet another syndication like hellopeter...

Why was your complaint not successful? or did you just not bother to file the complaint properly?

bitter from personal experience? if you have an outstanding complaint i am sure it will be finalised shortly

Ever tried lodging a complaint with ICASA? I can guarantee you that you are going to get a far better response from ISPA...

i beg to differ.

i lodged a complaint with them and still have had no reply.

so basically, ISPA is useless and it means NOTHING to be a ISPA member.

Guys, do not choose your ISP because they are a ISPA member. It makes no difference.

Sorry to derail, but Dom have you looked at the media24 recipe issue yet? Quite curious as to how it will turn out.

Business is tough at the moment, anything to get some extra hits on the site in order to generate some more revenue from advertising.

I hardly think they're struggling.

err.. i choose my ISP based on who is the cheapest. That's all I care about right now. Reliability and latency etc.. are factors that i will only care about when prices are near marginal cost. I sure as hell dont gaive a %&*^ if its a member of ISPA right now.
