Why are PC users so hung up?

Personally, I get that feeling that you have when you see a retarded person walking in the street and drooling all over themselves, i.e. pity, not hate.

Hi StbA,

In future, please would you include your own affiliation, and the intended target, in your insult. For example: Personally, as a Linux user, I get that feeling that you have when you see a retarded person walking in the street and drooling all over themselves, i.e. pity, not hate, when I see a windows-user.

This simple courtesy will clear up lots of potential confusion, and make the flamewar more enjoyable for all of us.

Regards,

chiskop.

os2 dominates u all....

to be honest, every part has its place, i dont see why we cant like them all?

When i am super relaxed and want utter complete frustration and annoyance, random processes doing absolutely nothing i boot up my windows box,

when i feel like rebuilding a kernel jsut to add a feature or having one of the worst gaming experiences ever i run WINE/linux,

When i want to look like a spoilt rich kid and show everyone how cool and "innovative" multiple desktops is, or when i want to burn my lap because the alluminium casing is jsut soo ...u know....pretty....then i use my mac...

ok i am bored at work...

windows users are normal. mac boys are softies and linux are for serious nerds.

now lets get on with the flamewar....

Bwhahahahahaha @ this thread.

I love my mac! But it's frustrating not being able to right click :P

Mac boys use computers to do things like check email, twitter and look at gorgeous cover flow in itunes.
Windows users have learnt to use a system and its simply too much effort or they are too lazy to learn something new and better.
Linux users simply have way too much time on their hands to be spent building kernels etc..

PS. Mac boys will usually not know what a kernel is. (often confuse it with a character from Cluedo)

Maybe this will add some food for thought:

Preferences->keyboard and mouse->secondary button-> right-click

alternatively, Ctrl+click=right click

alternatively, 2 finger tap on trackpad.

Bwhahahaha okay i feel like an absolute retard now.

I had no idea! I don't have a trackpad unfortunately but will use the ctrl and click in future :)

THANKS!!!! :D

I am Mac using beer drinker.

Lies...
They don't exist!

Dude, if you ever saw me in real life, you'd have to rethink your OS prejudices :)

You're so stuck in the 90s

I use mine to admin a 60,000 node server farm (2/3 Linux, 1/2 Windows and Solaris).[/quote]

I've built exactly one kernel in the last three years. And only because I was helping a guy fix his Gentoo box.

Get a mouse with more than one button. The Mighty mouse have five, if I remember correctly. And the mouse "wheel" can scroll sideways and diagonally.

So u use other OS's to actually do the work, and the mac to look at the others doing the work? See, mac is smarter....
