Why are we still seeing this 65502??

I would have thought 8ta would change the 65502 code to the real name by now, but my phone and router are both still showing "65502".

What gives?

The name that corresponds to the 65502 MCC/MNC is stored in the firmware of your device. You'll need to get an updated firmware from the manufacturer.

I've just had a look in /etc/operator_settings on my Nokia N9 and found the following:

655	02	8.ta	INTERNET	8 ta internet	internet											http://www.8ta.com	
655	02	8.ta	MMS	8 ta mms	mms						10.148.29.101	8080				http://mms.8ta.com:38090/was

To back up what is being said here - we have a Blackberry 9360 and an iPhone 4. The iPhone shows 65502 and the BB shows 8ta connecting to the same tower with the same SIM card.
