Why can't I log into Digg?

Sorry being stupid, realised I wasn't on VC at the time. :o Tried with the internet apn now and just get a blank white page, using FF but I doubt its a browser issue?

You're right its not a browser issue, as i tried IE7 as well, it did the same.

Although chaging to internetvpn solved the problem, i now discovered a new problem with the APN...

I got multiple "Server not found. The web page cannot be displayed" errors, something that has never happened before while. I had to disconnect and reconnect to get it right, still on internetvpn APN. Gonna see how it goes.

[EDIT]: Note that it happened while i was idle for a while. It didnt happen before while i was on the internet APN.

Just activated the internetvpn , 1-24 hours will see if it works then.

Why am I not surprised?

I have experienced this sort of thing with lots of sites, eventually I decided to take the plunge and consume a publicly routable IP address on the internetvpn APN just to keep from going insane.

@v3g, did the CEO of AfriNIC ever get back to you?

Can everyone confirm when the problems with the internet apn started?
 
Since last week Thursday for me when I first got 3G.

Cant say that i had any complaints or problems with the internet APN, just Murphy's Law that happened now.

I just tried the internetvpn APN to see if it would work.

My experience is that some sites & services work fine, and a minority of others don't work well with the internet APN, I gave up over a week ago and switched to the internetvpn APN. If I had the patience, I would report each incident to [email protected].
 
Cool, seems Vodacom fixed the issue, log-on for Digg works without having to change to internetvpn.
 
OK, can you test Digg on the internet apn again?

Can someone 100% confirm if you could log into Digg before on the internet apn, and when it stopped working.

It was one of those cases where malformed HTML got the caching engines confused, so we've send the info through to Digg. In the meantime, we've put a workaround in.

So, I'm trying to determine if or when their site changed.

You definitely could before but I'm not sure when, don't log in often, haven't for a while.

Yep, Works 100% for me on the internet APN now :)
Logged in without a problem, but I cant keep a connection on the network today, no signal for me at times.

Yep same here, but I have definitely successfully used digg.com on a Vodacom connection via the internet APN a few times in the past.
 
Seems to be working on the internet APN for me too also.

So it didnt have anything to do with the APN?
