Why Cell C hiked its data and contract prices

Because their a thieving bunch of ****s

BS, no companies buy 'hardware' at the drop of the hat, they will have contracts with vendors, with fixed tendered pricing. This is like bottle stores increasing and adding on every year when the sin tax is increased.

Meanwhile the Zar recovered to what it was in Oct 2015..

Anyway, no longer doing cellular contracts because of hikes, sucks to be the Telecom CEO.. awkward reviews when your eroded your contract customer base entirely.

I've decided not to renew my contract with CellC, but instead will look at going the prepaid route.

MASSIVE saving if you do :D But seriously, changed wife from MTN 100 which cost R310/pm to prepaid, now paying avg of R30 + afrihost R29 for data. Plan to go prepaid myself as my contract is R560 but carry over large amount of minutes. Reckon I can get away with about R100 for airtime and data a month ( always in lots of wifi so data just for travel ).

*edit* Ook , what happened to your post count ? :wtf:

Telkom ftw

Just don't be in a position where you need any form of support.

If you on prepaid and us the supacharge plan for R300 I would be surprised if you could finish this:
800mb of data free, 800 cell c to cell c minutes free, 280 mins of talk time to other numbers. All for R300

800Mb of data?
Hehehe

Also changed to 66c a minute prepaid plus R29 per month Afrihost data. Will never look back.

Btw I do have ADSL at home.

Cell C is now same price as VodaCom & MTN.
Does Cell C also have the same coverage and performance?

66c prepaid FTW!
You will be surprised to see 66c/min ends on the 1st February. Price will increase to R1.1/min.

I was on 1c/s (60c/min) plan long time. Then MTN decided to prevent people from switching to 1c/s, but they didn't migrate my plan. Now 1c/s is back.

I have heard of a few people saving by cancelling their contract. Unless you have a cell phone, are you really saving?

I have a contract as I can pat the phone off. I cannot buy a phone cash.
