Why Developers Suck

Just relax people, most of it is light-hearted humour. If you can't laugh it off you're just as unapproachable as the blogger would have everyone believe! And hell, a few of those points might just be valid ;)
 
Well according to internet slang, the blogger is a troll, posting this with just his 2nd or 3rd post.....

how's that for light-hearted humor?

Exactly !

I once downloaded a code snippet and thought it was very neat. As I read it I thought
"this guy knows his stuff". As I read further I realised who the author of that code was...ME, wrote it about 12 years before that :D That felt good :)

However, it also had me worried. Why didn't I just solve it myself (again)
instead of searching for a solution. Did Google make me lazy or were
my brain cell count decreasing that fast. :p

Ha ha!

It's a good point, and yes, google is making us lazy - there was even a PM article, titled something like "Is google is making us stupid"

But I think you missed a third possible option.
You had already coded it, therefore did not feel the need to re-invent your own wheel, so instead simply looked for it online of all places, lol :D.
