Why? Why are people complaining about load shedding even though eskom already warned in December of possible load shedding for the next two years? Do people just love complaining?

So, if as your employer, I said no increases for 2 years, you'd just sit there and smile? that's kind of daft...the amount of time someone told you in advance they were going to be shafting you is no measure of how you should feel about said shafting.

No, its getting annoying to hear everyone complaining about it every hour of every day. Even if there is no load shedding, people bring it up. I think there was even a guy that used load shedding as a pick up line once.

And yes, everyone are entitled to their opinions, but adding fuel to a fire only makes the issue worse. No one that can make a difference reads or listens to the complaints. Complaining is just going to any everyone else, nothing more.

You are right, we should loot, pillage and burn everything down, vocal pressure release is too irritating and pointless.

I agree. 50% is a pass mark and we are currently on 80%. Lower the bar some more. Let us load shed half the time instead of a a 10-20%.

Agreed 100%...

Add to that the effect it has on the economy both locally and internationally. I have seen that international investors are starting to issue cautions to investing in SA citing load shedding. One even quipped that consumers are almost blasé towards load shedding, Eskom, etc.

Personally, it's become more than an inconvenience. Waste of time in traffic = lost opportunity cost. Add fuel waste, wear and tear on my vehicle.

And if I look around how many SMEs cannot work through load shedding, I can only imagine their frustration. Those who do operate through it with back up generators are increasing their overheads to keep the lights on.

Why do I bleat? Because this was all avoidable!!! Because I don't think that the right solutions are being employed. Because I see the situation is getting worse. Medupi is a prime example. The urgency to get this power station functioning is completely lost. Wildcat strikes, strikes and lockouts are preventing meaningful progress.

I cannot just shut up and accept these clowns and Idiots who are ruining so much. No chance.

Load shedding is a pain in the ass especially trying to run a business .
Take the generator out , put it back because some mother will steal it , just a pain in the ass .
Every time the electricity goes off it just reinforces the reality that this government cant run this country .

I didn't say you should "protest", loot or burn anything. That is your own way of thinking. I said that keeping on complaining doesn't make the issue any better, it just makes it seem worse than it is.

Yes, load shedding causes security issues, yes, it messes up traffic. But seriously, no one that people complain to can do anything about load shedding.

I agree, load shedding is annoying. We wake up, get load shedding, and get annoyed. We go home, and sit in traffic due to load shedding. Then we start complaining and shouting. What did all the complaining and shouting accomplish?

I complain because the fking cANCer was warned 20 years ago about the possible shortage of electricity and did nothing about it correctly. Instead they rob steal and plunder the income for their own benefit. Oh and I am not complaining I am telling the truth so go tell your government that they are all thieving b@stards and they should all be burnt at the steak by especially their own voters whom are suffering the most.

Well, they could let us vote NOW and we could try to punish those responsible, for now moaning is our stress release..

I really feel bad for the fast food joints and restaurants in Stellenbosch this past week. 6 nights out of the 7, we've had loadshedding at 6PM. That's peak time for a business in the food industry. I can only imagine how this is going to affect their turnover come the end of the month.

Eskom is actively ****ing up the economy. That's why I complain.
