Why does everyone overtake on the left?

they should be, but go look at the roads, the left most lane almost never gets driven in. I always have a clear lane;)

So you are the guy passing on the left that the OP was posting about?

I'm not the one making idiot assertions.

I will take your lack of a proper answer to mean: no.

Once again, if you do not speed, I will never be a problem for you.

You aren't,i'll go left everytime some dunce decides he's the protector of lanes, using a defense of road-surface while clinging to the rule of law _only_ when it serves your personal vendetta is petty and nonsense

At least I am not speeding.

What an obstinate child, regardless of how wrong he is he will not yield for fear of losing his spot in the "pro" lane, effectively breaking the precious law he wishes to serve and protect with a moving barricade fueled with the knowledge that "even though I break the law,I do so to prevent others from breaking the law"

Vigilante
That's exactly what he's saying.
And your super car keeps to 120 km/h exactly, right?
He's not the one being a moron about keeping to 120 on the right lane to prevent others from passing speeding.

So you break the law and complain about others doing it, yet when I do it (according to you), I should not? Spot the problem?

No, I drive 120 in the left most lane and I am not overtaking anyone if I drive in the left most lane as that is where I should be driving. I only overtake right, and go back to the left most lane. Sometimes there are people going slowly in the middle lane too, then I have to overtake them on the right hand side too.

But if I drive passed someone that was on the right hand side of me, first of all I am not breaking the law. Second of all, if he were in the lane right to me, he was breaking the law, unless he is waiting for space to join the left hand side.

Your lack of comprehension is astounding. It means "I am not the one making idiot assertions". All I have said, for a good few pages now, is that I endeavour to keep to the left-most lane I am safely and reasonably able to. I do so because, primarily, it helps traffic flow, and secondarily because basic highway etiquette and the country's rules of the road compel me to. I don't need to justify my position. Your attempts at justifying yours fail.

Vigilantism is generally frowned upon by official agencies (who would otherwise encourage vigilance on the part of citizens), especially when it gives way to criminal behavior on the part of the vigilante.

Vigilante behavior may differ in degree of violence. In some cases vigilantes may assault targets verbally, physically attack them or vandalize their property. Anyone who defies the law to further justice is a vigilante

Check to see if you photo isn't under Vigilante in the dictionary

According to the Road Traffic Act. Go read it.

Hmmm. Contradiction.

Raising your post count by not defending your legally incorrect actions and rather attacking your own nonsense interpretation of what others write is questionable

Hmmm. Contradiction.

Definition of overtake:
Overtaking or passing is the act of driving around another slower automobile on a road.

I don't drive around an slower obstacle if I stay in the left most lane, I drive past him. You overtake, when you go out of the lane you are driving and then rejoining (when you can) the lane you were in.

If everyone just stay left and pass right our whole country's road rage will halve, atleast.

+1

I've seen a guy so pissed with a right-hand-lane-hogger doing 100 (and open lane to the left) that he passed him on the shoulder to the right which was filled with debris - and the hoggers' car had to get quite a couple of stone chips from that...

There corrected it for you
If I am the fastest (legal speed) driver on the road, I am overtaking everyone else that is driving at less than the max speed limit.

Is there a law that states how close you have to be in order to qualify as overtaking?

Unfortunately most of the hoggers I've seen have little to lose with the condition that their car is in.

It compels you to not exceed the legal speed limit.

...which you are not in a position to judge. You cannot judge either the speed someone else is travelling at accurately or the reason they might be exceeding the limit if they happen to be. Thus, the rules of the road do not include either an explicit or implicit conditional clause relating to the speed of others. It is a simple rule by design: keep left, pass right. Your continued efforts to obfuscate the matter with your own justifications does nothing to change the simple fact that you are wrong. **** off left.

Everyone could still be driving the same speed as well, then everyone should be in the left most lane.

If the person behind you can overtake you by the time you get to the next car, you should give way. I don't think there is a fixed law.
