Why does Windows 7 keep freezing

I have been happy with Windows 7. So far not even 95% of my normal programs which used to not install on Vista now installs on Windows 7.

I love Windows 7 by far, by still, I cannot live with this freezing anymore.

And it only stared since I installed the sound card driver. I'll post to make/model tonight, but it is driving me berserk.
 
Try using Windows Update for a driver lookup. Uninstall the driver and then use Windows Update to find a new one. The Windows update drivers usually work but sometimes there just aren't stable drivers available for Windows 7 for certain devices.
