Why I will vote DA

Finally we have the DA for whom I will be casting my vote. The DA has long been the object of ANC propaganda. Not being able to find any real dirt, the only way the ANC has been able to discredit the DA is by literally calling it names. That’s not very mature but when you review ANC performance at all levels and its sense of entitlement, it is somewhat expected.

They refer to “GodZille” because they can’t say “Zille, who was responsible for arm’s deal corruption”. They labelled Leon as a white male hankering after the days of apartheid because everything he said in Parliament was incisive and exposed ANC irregularities and questioned their hegemony. Of course he was cheeky and disruptive. He had to be.

The ANC tried to manufacture dirt on Zille, so desperate were they for something to point a finger at. Dirt, they found has a way of sticking to its source when the whole Erasmus debacle was exposed.

I'm going to vote DA as well. Not because I especially believe in their manifesto or anything, but because when it comes to the day to day running of things, they are so much more competent than anything else in government.

However, I am willing to change my mind. If any ANC member can give an example of DA incompetence outpacing ANC incompetence, I'll throw in the towel and start supporting Patricia de Lille instead. (COPE se ma se box of chocolates, man, they're no different from the party they left - they're just yesmen to a different idiot.)

The strange thing is that I actually support the ANC's manifesto over the DA's. But, although the DA may be just a bunch of racist whites plotting to ritually sacrifice all black people to the gods of capitalism ... at least they'd be able to do a good job of it.
 
We have them in council in Cape Town and they are more incompetent than the previous regime. The biggest difference is that they don't want to admit it or fix it. A councilor once berated me in racial language because I was demanding good service from them. The money is going from our rates directly into the townships, according to the DA.

The DA are not racist whites. In fact they have seemingly abandoned their traditional voters in an effort to gain more support. Botoxface Zille is really pushing her Xhosa knowledge as well.

Whereas the ANC are cautious about making promises, the DA are not. The simple reason is that they won't likely get in and can therefore make as many promises as they like, safe in the knowledge that they will never have to deliver on them.
 
i vote DA every year,why is the ANC still winning.who in the right mind votes for them?.

As in: I may not have much and life pretty much sucks, but at least I can count on my party to always be the biggest. And this always makes me feel better.
 
I'll vore for them, firstly to vore against the ANC and secondly because if they get enough votes they might be able to form a coalition government(they're the only party who might pull it off.)
 
Bottom line is they get things done and things work under their leadership. I am sick of the corruption, crime and rot in this gvt and in the ANC and that is why they will never see my vote. I vote for Helen. We need a strong person and a woman could not do worse than what the men have done here in the last 50 years.

Corruption is a society problem. So long as politicians are drawn from society, this will happen until it is addressed there, whether it be in the DA, ANC or anyone else.

The DA isn't corrupt!

But it is led by a white person, and you know what that means...
 
Well if we all do not vote for cope the ANC will walk this election, voting for these tiny obscure parties just divides the vote and if we want the anc out then COPE is the only vote.

Go ahead and vote for the DA but when the ANC get the majority you can partially blame yourself because cope should give them a run for their money and the ANC is hoping that all the whites vote for their white party as they usually do. Again if cope lose by a small margin, the people who voted for DA should never complain about another thing in this country.

My vote will be for cope not because i support them or like them or agree with any BS they say but because i hate the ANC and cope is only logical answer to removing them.

It's very easy, just read it a bit slower. A DA administration will also be corrupt. In fact we see reports about them already. I don't support corruption and shady dealing, but our society is largely to blame.

How can politicians not be drawn from society? There is no where else for politicians to be come from, everyone comes from society... think... breathe... speak.
