Why I will vote DA

It is a sad reality. If only people in this country would look beyond the colour of one's skin and look at their character and principles... If the USA had the same idealogy we would be without President Obama. Thank goodness that they judged him according to his character and what he stands for. If only the same would happen in SA...
I hope you aren't implying they would have voted for an ugly person (of whatever colour), because there is little evidence to support that view.

First...
I'm going to vote DA as well. Not because I especially believe in their manifesto or anything, but because when it comes to the day to day running of things, they are so much more competent than anything else in government.
Then...
But, although the DA may be just a bunch of racist whites plotting to ritually sacrifice all black people to the gods of capitalism ... at least they'd be able to do a good job of it.

Huh?

Helen Zille doesn't like Afrikaners, just like Puke Watson. She has lost touch with Afrikaner voters a LOOONG time ago.

The future for Afrikaner voters lie in the Freedom Front+ who actually protect Afrikaner interests instead of putting the party's interests above those of the voters to protect or grow the party

I support the idea that every voter votes for his racially assigned party: blacks for the ANC, afrikaners for the FF+, coloureds for the ID, etc and those that didn't originate from here or who can't make up their minds should vote for COPE

I quite admire the FF for their PR department. They criticise in a very constructive, eloquent manner and have done extensive research before opening their mouths. I always turn the radio on whenever their spokesman speaks.

I myself being Afrikaner do not feel represented by them, to be honest I don't like the idea of them trying to persuade everyone with religion at university we get VF+ flyers the first line states " Om die Ng kerk te eer" that is why I will never vote for them, not having anything against the church but against them abusing it to get votes and besides who is Pieter Mulder anyways? Some wierdo from randfontein?

Zille wants to be premier of the western cape and party leader? sounds to all to much like a dictator for my liking,

Your reasoning, sir?

Zuma wants to be President of the Republic of South Africa and party leader? Sounds like a dictator to me...
Buthulezi wants to be President of the Republic of South Africa and party leader? Sounds like a dictator to me...
De Lille wants to be President of the Republic of South Africa and party leader? Sounds like a dictator to me...
Dude from the ACDP wants to be President of the Republic of South Africa and party leader? Sounds like a dictator to me...

LOL, seriously...

It's the next logical step for the DA. She is the best suited for the job of Premier. Why can't she be party leader too?

We have them in council in Cape Town and they are more incompetent than the previous regime. The biggest difference is that they don't want to admit it or fix it. A councilor once berated me in racial language because I was demanding good service from them. The money is going from our rates directly into the townships, according to the DA.

The DA are not racist whites. In fact they have seemingly abandoned their traditional voters in an effort to gain more support. Botoxface Zille is really pushing her Xhosa knowledge as well.

Whereas the ANC are cautious about making promises, the DA are not. The simple reason is that they won't likely get in and can therefore make as many promises as they like, safe in the knowledge that they will never have to deliver on them.

Sackboy no one believes you. In every thread you either carry on about Helen Zille's botox or complain about service delivery that makes me wonder if you are not part of the ANC closed crony society.....

The DA is hot air. There's no opposition to the ANC. People should start realising that. It's just the ANC and that's it.

The DA won't win the the majority this year.

They will continue to run the City of Cape Town, and in a coalition will run the province which allows them to develop another track record in areas not currently under the control of the City e.g. housing, security, education, roads and so forth.

That is why I won't vote for either of them, the da is to idealistic. If tony Leon were still Leader sure I would vote for them but now I might as well for vote the "kiss party" keep it straight and simple. or whatever they represent.

Well yes you are correct but logically you have to say to yourself the anc will get plenty of votes, how can i help and ensure the ANC do not come to power and logically speaking the COPE is the only hope.

If you want to live in a dream world were all the blacks vote for someone other than cope or anc then thats fine go and cast your vote for an obscure party but you will have just wasted a vote and your time :) and when zuma starts to slowly destroy this country you will lie in bed along with a few million white's knowing if you had voted for COPE they would be in power. This is of course your choice but you will have to live it :)

I would rather lie awake one night while zuma destroys our country and think atleast i tried to stop this.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the DA is anything but a small party......We have signed up more non-white members walking away from the ANC and COPE than in the last few years. DA is a multi racial open party that is going to draw more votes than COPE or any other party to challenge the ANC.

2014 the DA will be the government......

As always, a lot is said about this one and that one.

The DA runs the city alongside many smaller parties.
Whether you love Helen or not, it is FACT, that the city of Cape Town has been run 900% better than under the ANC.

This is not pro DA, not anti ANC, but FACT.

This does not imply the DA and the smaller parties that run the city have done a perfect job or are creating a perfect city.

2014 the DA will be the government......

I support the DA, but thats optmistic.

What you mean to say is, in the odd chance that the ANC do not win the majority, the DA will be a part of the government formed by all other parties, and as the likely majority within this bunch of parties will govern the county.

Yes, I also got that flyer before I voted for the SRC at university. I don't think there is anything wrong with them using the church as backbone for their electioneering.
Religion is there for a reason... if there wasn't religion the world would be a very dark place where every person just did as he pleases.

Now guess why the ANC doesn't put any emphasis on religion...

Please the ff+ is so over....They have now reached their expiry date........Move on already apartheid died in 1994
Helen and the DA still believe in all groups and languages no matter what your skin colour

They failed to reply to his e-mails. That make him vewwy angwy.

Actually not......This is all part of the DA plan for SA. Once people realise that the DA does a better job then the tide will turn........Actually the DA will do so much better this year already....

I do believe they will do better.
But I don't foresee a majority win by the DA by 2014 or for another 20 years after that.
