No. If you do 15000km and take it for a service, then it starts again. Say you service it on 1 September 2017. Then it is due for service again, either on 1 September 2018, or after 15000km, whichever comes first. Then it starts again from the date of THAT service. So you always service, add 15000km to the mileage and 1 year to the date, and thats when its due.

My car is at 36000 km I did my service in February. That is why I said I'm left with 7 months or 9000kms.

If service interval is 15000km whenever my car reach 15000km, I take it to service it doesn't matter if it's a less than a year. I can't wait because I took my car to service on 27 May 2017 now it's September my car has 30000km on the clock. I have to take it to service even if it's less than a year. But if it happens than on 27 May 2018 that my car, is at 28000km I can take it to service. That is how I understand service interval.

As I understand every service interval the are certain things they do.

That Renault megane if indeed it has 10 000km and its 2012 model . I just wonder how they worked around the service interval.

You explained it so well, especially the part where you say if it's done 15km early you don't wait for a year but take it to service regardless that a year has not elapsed, but what if you only do 15k kms after 3 years? similarly you don't wait for 15k kms you take it to service twelve months after your last service, regardless whether you've done 15k kms more since your last service.

Since some people are difficult and want to make it like I'm the difficult one here. I'm making explain here.

I know if the car reach a year you can take it to service regardless of the mileage if the are low. But early on I said kilometers come first reason being most of us do more than 15000km a year. Right now I'm left with 9000kms for my next service but I doubt it that I reach February.

The way you said it was confusing, but yes, you have it right. What mileage do you do per month?
 
Well...that means that you do less than 15000km a year....12,000km, sometimes less than that.

Anyway lets move on.
