Why is webafrica so bad

Once again I find myself staring down the barrel of a gun full of servicelessness from Webafrica after promising myself to move onto another provider over 12 months ago. So yeah. My fault for staying with them I suppose.

Is there a quick and painless way to move to someone who:
1. values their long standing clients
2. provides services such as Fixed IP
3. provides any/all feedback within a reasonable timeframe whether they can or cannot provide a residential fixed IP
4. Keeps track of said customers issue without them having to repeat themselves
5. Doesn't only provide Tech/Sales/Billing support on Whatsapp
6. Fixes their customer login database when customer is unable to update their credit cards expiry and cvv details
7. Doesn't throttle their customers from 550/550Mbps to 75/75Mbps when customer is unable to submit payment via Webafrica's prefferred method
Unfortunately WebAfrica in their incompetence are likely to make the move painful. It was a very painful process when I moved. WebAfrica didn't release the line. Had all sorts of excuses and apologies. I ended up having an entire month without my fibre line and had to make a plan for remote work. I'm sure they do it on purpose.

Just keep thinking about how much better life will be once you're away from that godawful company though. Take the hit now and enjoy a competent ISP going forward like Cool Ideas.

I'll always punt @websquadza and @CoolEscalator - great technical knowledge and they are very involved here. Multiple payment options as well

If in the Cape Town / Winelands area, have a look at: https://www.atomic.co.za

Worst ISP ever - just get the move over with and use someone decent. I favour Afrihost as I have never had a service issue with them that was not resolved properly.

Are they still bad in 2026 because the packages are cheaper than other ISP
Their support sucks ass, but I must say I have only needed to log a call for an issue with them maybe three times in the last 6 years and every time the issue was on Vuma's side, not the ISP.

Looking at some of the issues others are having with their ISPs, it seems that most of them have gone down the drain.
