Again? How many times are you going to post this kind of crap?
mybroadband.co.za/vb/search.php?searchid=27835375

I know you and africaner is one poster ( remember your slip up?)
But now I'm thinking you are such a troll you might even be intel.

Yeah, I for one am not jumping fences to join Mugabe's paradise.

@Redeemed

If you're going to troll with obvious mugabe drivel on a forum which is clearly wise to the tyrant that he is, then you need to deal with the commentary you get. I for one won't be dealing with your RBP complaints related to this thread.

Now where was I? clickclickclick

Give this mod a Bells :p

Simple solution - take all those Cape Town vagrants that have invaded council and private land and drop them off in Zim. Ugly Bob can be their hero.

The clue, though, is in the title African[/b/] hero. In pretty much the same way the Johannesburg is a world class African city. The NOT is implied at the end of the phrase.

The word "colonial" is used far to much and so irrelevant in the modern world.

So are you saying comments that transgress the forum rules are OK as long as they are (subjectively) viewed as drivel? Where do you draw this line. If somebody believes in divine retribution should those who don't believe in it get away with using insults against that person because it's "obvious drivel"? Tell me and others as a mod if that's how forum rules are applied. And I have seen topics started on the forum about characters that are unpopular on the forum (e.g. Ahmadinejad, Kim Jong, Castro, Berlusconi etc,) can we assume that the forumites who posted the topics share the sentiment in the article and are supporters of the leaders and therefore as mods you make it open season for insults?

Which comments specifically transgressed the forum rules?

You are a troll, you drop and run topics like this, that have no basis in reality and are full of lies and drivel.

And believing in divine retribution is a belief structure based on a religion. You posting a topic about Mugabe being some "hero" when he is responsible for the deaths of thousands, the destruction of a country and the suffering of millions is not even vaguely comparable, its distasteful, its disgusting, and it should be dealt with, with the vitriol it deserves.

Popcorn time!

I agree with Redeemed... Mugabe is a true African hero!

Only in Africa will a d00s like him be glorified :D

Only brainwashed idiots would believe such cr@p. Ask Any Zimbabwean in South Africa and find out the truth. Idiots like those hanging on the cANCer and Malema's lips, or crawled up their a$$es, would want you to believe otherwise.

Dude, you'd be surprised at the stupidity of some of these Zimbabweans in SA. They interviewed one on radio a while back, and he said he doesn't understand why we have a problem with Zimbabwe, there's nothing wrong, it's got everything...he's only is SA for work /facepalm.

I'm saying that if you are going to drop articles purely to evoke a negative response with no actual constructive debate of your own then you know full well what kind of reaction you're going to get.

+1

Debate the topic, and if people aren't being as respectful as you are, then RBP them.

RBPs does not change people's views

I have RBPed people who aren't respectful but the mod is saying their conduct is OK because he shares their disdain for the topic.

I don't care if the response is negative but if it violates forum rules it's your responsibility to take action.

So tell us, what were you trying to achieve by posting this?

You've offered no insight into why you agree with the piece you have quoted, nor is there anyone so far in 3 pages of discussions that agrees with the content. So as far as I can see there was never going to be any constructive debate in this thread ever, because you never offered any. This post was simply to bait people into an emotional response, which you got and then want the mods to bail you out?

I think frustration comes from posts like Cool E where he contradicts himself and says things without evidence. You can even see in the Obama thread now, Alan is getting ripped to shreds for having an opposing opinion, and h feels he has evidence while everyone else feels that they have opposing evidence. We make assumptions about each other.

I know people give you a hard time and i don't debate with you as much as others, but we all have our "troll topics" where we bring out the worst in people. I think it's better speak their language and understand the point of view from where they're coming, rather for looking a reason to give someone an infraction.

Mugabe is a monster in my eyes, but I can also understand it from his point of view. People have this hollywood sense of morality where there is a bad guy and that he is bad just because he can be bad. There are a lot of people harming Zimbabwe and it is not solely Mugabe's fault the country is failing, but he is the person that set the country down the path for destruction

TL;DR - I couldn't get past the title without doubling over laughing. Seriously, who writes this smut? :D

Simple question,

Why must people be respectful, if you've offered absolutely nothing constructive to the piece?

(as a clarification for some people, not showing respect is not the same as being disrespectful)

I'm not the first person to post a topic without commenting on it but I have not seen you take exception in other cases. Does this rule only apply to me? Is it even a rule? Should the OP necessarily comment for there to be constructive debate? If the OP didn't comment are you saying it's OK for the thread to be nonconstructive under your watch?

This post was simply to bait people into an emotional response, which you got and then want the mods to bail you out?

I was simply reporting bad posts which you as mods are always encouraging us to do rather than countering insult with insult. You still haven't answered my question on whether it's OK for forum rules to be broken under certain circumstances and based on people's subjective view of the topic.
