I was simply reporting bad posts which you as mods are always encouraging us to do rather than countering insult with insult. You still haven't answered my question on whether it's OK for forum rules to be broken under certain circumstances and based on people's subjective view of the topic.

The same debate that happens in other topics. Are you saying the only OK topics are the ones the majority of forumites agree on or ones that will result in hugs all round? Neither are you answering my questions about applying forum rules subjectively. Please also address why you have a problem with me posting a topic without commenting on it whereas people do the same here every single day.

My question to you is simple. Are comments like the ones below unacceptable according to the forum rules or are they acceptable under certain conditions? That's my main interest with you as a Mod responsible for upholding forum rules. In future should forum members RBP comments like these or are they game? Set the precedent if needs be.

I fail to see why the 2 comments quoted breach forum rules, they're not directed at a specific poster... or are you being over sensitive again because you KNOW that your opinion is not popular in this country (or for the rest of the world for that matter)

Because you're posting opinion pieces, not news articles. And ones that you know will elicit this kind of reaction. Perhaps if you actually made an effort to try and discuss the articles you post instead of dropping these turds and then absconding people would engage you more constructively.

Impossible to make a call on the RBPs without the insight into the purpose of the OP. Currently it's looking like troll bait, which predictably results in emotional responses, which I factor in when making a call on something.

This on the other hand can be seen as direct stab at you. It could also be directed at the article author. Again you didn't offer any of your own input so without context as to your intention, difficult to call.

Insults are unacceptable full stop and it's your responsibility to root them out...it's not a difficult call to make at all. Or are you saying they are acceptable under certain circumstances?

I have to agree with the mods on this one.
You didn't offer your own opinion so noone actually knows if you agree or disagree with the article.

There have been threads on the forums saying Christians are stupid these are obvious troll bait and don't need me to respond and if I responded with insults that would be appropriate but it wouldn't be very Christian.

I for one think that giving a percentage of mining proceeds to the community is a great idea if it goes towards schools and hospitals.

From the start you have dodged my questions, you're still dodging some of them.

I prefer to look at the context of a thread when there are complaints. You've purposefully baited people into an emotional response and then take exception to it when it happens. As I've stated the second comment could be interpreted as personal.
