Why people pirate games

Uncapped makes the patch size irrelevant. You should try it sometime.
I have 4Mbps uncapped and I hate huge patches. A waste of time really.

Another rant - the game is rated 18V by the FPB. Someone forgot to mention language - it's b-a-d and a total game killer. So we've spent R400 on this game and now don't want it. Is there any way to turn off the foul language in the campaigns? Also... on my 4Mbps Mweb uncapped account, we can't stay connected to a server for long, we just get kicked. Pings are 40ms and thereabouts. A bit of googling shows a heck of a lot of players complaining of the same thing. Back to the title of my post...

EA/Origin. THIS is why I am inclined to visit a torrent first to check a game out BEFORE I spend the moolah. Sorry, but this whole experience has sucked big time!

i pirate coz i'm a pirate! arrrr! ;)

Anyone want this at a discount?
Original, installed once, no longer want. PM me.

Very true, I loved battlefield 2, it was awesome.
Sadly you are missing an epic game.

Although if the patches are too big i doubt you would need to spend 10gb a month on playing it.

one day BF3, one day :)

Lol, very sneaky! I think it'll be worth it though. The game looks epic! Re extra copy - yes! I wonder if I can pull that key from the registry, though I imagine it goes back into the pool when they send it back? Or perhaps it goes onto some ToysRUs employee's PC lol.

Just to give clarification with regards to this... the faulty copy's key is attached to Origin account you made once you signed up with Origin. In other words, the email address you use to sign in to your Origin account will have that cdkey attached to it. So no one will be able to use that key again. It's yours, or at least your son's key forever. :)

If I were you, I would keep the second key for myself and play together with your son online, however, if your not into BF3, then I suppose you can sell it.

You guys really need to use steam/origin.

Makes things so much easier.

I got an education in why people pirate today. Bought 2 copies of this game, installed it and then have to deal with a browser launching piece of rubbish that can't stay connected or see other friends. Worst of all, if two people are on the same modem forget about co-op or multi. It tool me four hours to install, decipher and then, ultimately, ragequit this buggy pos.

We do and we are forced to. I replaced BF3 with IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover and had to spend the last five hours troubleshooting steam issues. It's not just me either - there are many people who have these fairly common issues. Utter waste of time really.

It's way quicker to install a standalone cracked version of the game sometimes.

Personally, I prefer consoles for their ease of use in this regard. Not a fanboi statement, please note, but simple effeciency! Pop in disc, go. Pc - insert disc, troubleshoot, curse, download workaround, curse, install 5 million updates, curse...

+1
I went XBox for this reason. I still play PC from time to time but prefer console for its simplicity.
