Why programming language C is increasing in popularity

Both C# and Java have improved tremendously over the last few years, the massive improvements in switch statements, better streams and async implementations, etc.
C# and Java are like Toyota Camry's. You can do everything with them: commute, move house, do the Cape to Cairo and go camping. Boring AF. Rather give me a Python beach buggy.

I am pretty sure the article is dead wrong.

What is the market size of medical devices vs the market size of billions of people being locked up in their homes with only the internet to connect them to the world?

Not only that, people are not going to the hospital as often because of the Shanghai shingles, so demand for most medical equipment other than PPE and ventilators is going to decrease.

I would say they are more like an NP200 bakkie. Very reliable, can do almost anything, but is horrible to use and isn't very safe.

So which of the remaining languages gets to be the Opel Monza Car of the Year?
That can only be C or Assembly. Assembly is the only thing that is still slower than the car of the year
