However Materazzi he will find the EPL just the thing, and Paolo Maldini well he is certainly a great defender isn't he?

At the moment there are 8 groups 4 teams each...
Make it 2 groups 16 teams each...
1.Teams from the same league are in the same group...
2.The points they earn in their home leagues against each other are added as their points earned against each other in the group...
3.They play home and away against the teams in their group but not home league...
4.The four top teams in each group take part in quarters, semis and finals...

Huh? You posted La Liga is the strongest league then you suddenly say EPL is the strongest.
When you look at the results in any timespan, EPL places third. Can't change the stats, La Liga is superior and Serie A is running a close second.
I like EPL, it's very entertaining, just a pity they never actually win anything when they compete with the rest of Europe.

The statistics is clearly not favouring UBERCAL, The EPL is the better league, better marketed and better presented to the public. La Liga therefor bows the knee in front of the EPL.
The English Premier League is the one and only reason I watch soccer....
Not arguing the point concerning La Liga Globetrotter, since Manchester United won the title the clubs in the EPL did well the statistics shows it.
La Liga had only one more team in the semi's, different teams? well then EPL is the winner correct? I can be wrong...
I am actually right in my assessment:
EPL 5 teams Man U, Leeds U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea
La Liga 4 teams Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Deportivio
Serie A 3 teams AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventas
Serie A certainly dropped of the pace the stats clearly shows it...
The English Premier League gets my vote because it is better marketed.
La Liga = Barcelona and Real Madrid
EPL = Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham, Blackburn, Manchester United etc... it is just different is it not?
