The strongest/most successful leagues in the world aren't even in europe but are in South America. (Pity we never get to watch them)
The strongest/most successful league in Europe is Italy (in world terms)
English league is the second least successful in the world amongst winners of world club championships...
This is also closely mirrored in each country's achievement at World Cup championships.....
To sum up we watch the EPL simply because we do not have a choice....It's sort of like how it is with the local PSL, we watch it simply because it's what's on TV, otherwise there are better products out there...but we never know because the owners of television bend the information all they want to suit their revenues....

The English Premier League is from ENGLAND. Maybe you don't understand football that well, let me explain it to you REAL SLOW... There's one main league per country, get it ? ITaly Serie A, Spain Laliga etc, are you still following ?
The winner of the UEfa Champions league comes from the winners of various domestic leugues within UEFA. This winner (last year AC Milan) competes against winners from other federations i.e. Commenbol, Caf, Concacaf, etc. The winner of that tournament is the winner of the world club football.
This is the ULTIMATE winner of club football. Judging by the stats posted previously, proponents of the English league are either naive about football outside of the EPL as I mentioned before, or are just arguing just for the sake of arguing. The EPL depite boasting all the money, the marketing, the big name players has achieved very little in comparison to other leagues across the world. DO YOU GET IT NOW ?

This is a lame attempt at detracting from the facts...
The world club championship is a FIFA sanctioned tournament. Winners never let themselves lose, even if the win means precious little. The stronger teams will always beat the weaker ones no matter what.
There's nothing actually that has been put forward as facts supporting the claim that EPL is the strongest. All that I have seen so far is sentiments and nothing concrete. The EPL is by far the most popular league but so is the English language. To me that proves nothing, show me the success, the trophies and I will be obliged to agree.
On the point of 6-4 score lines, please dude get this fact, football is not a high scoring game, rugby and cricket are. A team that concedes 6 goals in one match shows lack of purpose, lack of game plan, above all that is lack of discipline. All those goals are probably a result of basic errors (sort of like school boy soccer) and not so much an indication of resolute attack. In football the best form of defense is attack....but that still does not mean that you throw everything forward from the word go and leave only the keeper to defend. Again you are not worthy of anything if you can score 4 goals and still lose the match.

1-0 score line reflects better organisation on both sides whereas a cricket score is typical of youth leagues....where positional play is not yet fully understood.

Entertaining is a matter of opinion. I much prefer a tactical close battle to the open type of game that is played in the epl.
But in truth there isn't really a big difference between the epl,la liga and serie a. All 3 leagues produce class football and it's more a matter of taste and personal preference of which one is the best for you.
