Why should I vote the DA?

Lindiwe is a token. In 2007 she was a student, two years later she's one of the three faces of the DA election campaign, two years later she's parliamentary leader of the opposition. Where's the merit in such quick ascension in office? Is she really the best? No, she's a token.

Well when she opens her mouth she makes a whole lot more sense than those cadres with their waffling and double speak that never seem to answer a question directed at them.

Can't win then. White candidate = old school racist, black candidate = token?

The ANC has always used race arguments to keep control of DA popularity. You could get rid of all white faces in the DA and they would still find a way to use race to define the DA. It really is all about controlling a mindset.

Is she really the best? No, she's a token.

Or maybe she is just good at what she does. That is all that should be important. Cut the could be / couldn't be and focus on what is. Different story if only rhetorical drivel poured out of her mouth like the diarrhea which erupts from some (actually a lot) in higher positions in the ANC.

Here's a good reason, they don't hide:

Early night so I can get up in the wee hours to work on my newsletter - to address party funding in general and the Guptas in particular.

Quite frankly you should vote DA only until they may or may not rule. Or any other party for that matter. The great democratic system only works if one tiny swing could force the Government of the day out of ruling. No political party believes in what they ask you to vote for and as soon as they are the ruling party things start changing and they forget about who elected them for what purposes. They start thinking that they can do anything they want and abuse the system to their enrichment and not what the people who voted for them want and need.

I have first hand experience of the DA and press freedom and corruption. The Overstrand area where they rule is ten to one just as corrupt as the rest of South Africa, with dubious tenders awarded everywhere. But write about it on the DA Facebook page and it gets removed instantly.

So until we cancel the proportional representative system, where the party decides who gets into parliament or others, we will forever be plagued by useless people who kowtow to their leaders for own gain, rather than people who really care about you as a human or their communities

Bit stupid complaining about something like that on their Facebook page. You got facts, then post them here.

I think you missed the gist of my post. Somebody that believes in press freedom such as the DA purports to do, should never delete a critisism, wherever or wheneve even if it was stupid.

It has nothing to do with press freedom. You are some arb person who has posted some unsubstantiated claim on the wrong forum. I am pretty sure that the DA have a hotline number for you to call. Try that.

I'd also delete crap.

The ANC is like a husband that works to provide and care for his family, but often times would become excessively drunk on strong liquor and abuse his wife and children.

The DA is like a husband (married to the WC) works to provide and care for his family; who also drinks some wine, but as of yet hasn't been excessively drunk nor abused his wife and children.

You choose which household you want to live in.

No, the ANC husband doesn't work to provide for his family. The ANC husband spends all his money on liquor and whores while his wife and kids starve.
