Why You Should Not Buy A Mac

Not true! Compare an iMac to a regular desktop. The iMac doesn't have a huge box next to it with lots of cables. It's got incredibly low power consumption, it's dead quiet. It's got an IPS LCD.

Look I'm not trying to convert you to Mac. I'm just saying that you get what you pay for.

Dell, HP and others offer similar, look at Incredible corruption or Hifi corpse.
 
You mean IPS LCD's? Or all-in-one computers? If the former - I know. If the latter - I know, I still think the iMac is the best one.
 
My friend bought an Acer quad core all-in one. The display is TN - ugh.

My 3rd cousin's neighbour's mechanic's daughter's ex-boyfriends's dad's aunt bought an imac, and the display is terrible.

Lots of people have issues with them, they even start petitions.
Go for the Dell rather.

True. My sister has continual overheating issues with her iMac at work. Overheating!! The hell?

I know the previous gen was TN - bit of a shocker. But the new one has a really awesome display. Seriously, the difference is night and day.

I have a broken 2006 model, also with the display and overheating issues.
Unfortunately had the kuk luck and apple weren't too interested in fixing.
Loved the display, when it worked anyways.
 
To be honest, I hackintosh! So yeah. Must say the Macbook Pro range have really nice displays, for laptops. I gave mine to my sister in a bout of generosity.

Can you hackintosh on a Samsung R580 laptop?
I have Tiger, Leopard and Snow leopard in a box doing nothing.
 
I tried it on my desktop and it worked perfectly. On my girlfriends laptop, a Acer 4315, it kept restarting endlessly after installing. Not an easy OS to install.
 
Nope it's not. But once it's running properly it's very stable. If anyone needs help etc. just PM me.
 
Yeah - HDD broken. When a hard drive dies a computer becomes really slow.! I don't use time machine because my data isn't that valuable, but it's great.
 
Weirdly the HDD is fine. Time machine backup restored everything perfectly.
