Hi Guys
I have run an ethernet cable from ASUS router to another part of the home and want a wifi bridge with ethernet.
Also would like to connect the extender to two other devices via ethernet cable & use the wifi extender.
Notice that many extenders don't have a number of ethernet ports.

Please recommend a make & model, something like a switch but has to have wifi.

Thanks

Hi Vaughan. My company users the tenda devices to extend. They have 4 ethernet ports and depending on the unit 100mbs or 1gbs on each port.

Look at the tenda ac8 and ac10. They are great units.

They are also cheap and in my opinion better than the tp link by far.
The security on them are not top notch but using it for an extender is great

They can be programmed as an AP/Extender or router.
My page is www.facebook.com/in2designs if you need info on these routers

Hi carnagelan
Thanks for the reply.

So if I plug the ethernet cable into this device it should have any conflicts etc. Also has 2.4 & 5g wifi
Where can I go buy these routers

So the AC10 is a faster device?

Thanks for helping me

It wont have any conflicts. You still need to program it as an Access Point and setup your ssid and wifi password. You can purchase from www.scoop.co.za which are the main agents for these.

They dont have stock of the ac10 but use the ac8 as they are just as powerful. I have installed over 50 of these and works like a bomb.

What Asus router do you have?

If it supports Asus mesh, just get another one and use Asus mesh , all your requirements fulfilled

Advantage of a mesh system is seamless handover, devices will automatically switch over to the closest access point

I have a Asus AC52U

Unfortunately that model doesn't support Asus mesh
Not the end of the world, the tenda should do fine as well
