So? Increase the volume of the vessel for better efficiency. That's an urn, not a kettle.... OP wants a kettle..
Option 2 would be an Urn. as it keeps the water at boiling point. My kettle has started leaking quite badly so time for a new one. I thought I'd try a WiFi type so I can boil it using an app without leaving my bed in the morning.
There are a few on Takealot with mixed reviews, anyone using one and can recommend?
I aspire to this level of convenience (laziness). This must be one of the laziest things to get...

They are useless for the first 6 or 7 years.. so you are down to 11 years out of 18.. then when they turn 10/11 they stop doing what you ask until they leave the house..How much does a Minion cost per month? Not to mention they expire after 18 years.

You get 3-4 years of use out of a minion..
Why on Earth would you need to be able to boil the kettle remotely?
You've still got to go to the kettle to actually make the cup of coffee or tea.
The amount of time this may potentially save you is so negligible it's ridiculous.
Because I can - in fact, I’ll probably hook it up to HA and schedule a couple of time, weather and location based automations. Why on Earth would you need to be able to boil the kettle remotely?
