Hi My Broadband Community,
I please need a bit of help to dteermine the correct product for my usage scenario. I have recently built a two storey house, and I am unable to get my wifi signal to my downstairs storey. I have a NetGear D6200 Wireless router, which connects to the Internet, and is the main wifi signal. What I would like to do is to add a wifi extender to for the downstairs storey, as I have provided the ability for a wired connection between the two devices. What I would like to acheive is as follows:
1) D6200 wifi router remains upstairs for the bulk of the wifi devices (Apple TV, Smart TV, music streaming etc)
2) Wired connection between the D6200 and a secondary devices to provide wifi to the downstairs devices
3) The downstairs device must support 1Gbps ethernet connections for the wifi extension (I dont want to use anything less)
4) The downstairs device must support 1Gbps ethernet connection for a NAS box (it must be downstairs in my study to keep it out the way
5) The downstairs device must support 2.4Ghz and 5GHz as I have a wireless printer which only supports 2.4GHz, and then there are other 5GHz devices floating around.
Does anybody have an idea of what the correct device to use, as I cant find anything that suits the bill for all of the categories listed above.
