Wii U release any day now

Wow - MC at R99 is a must then. My biggest trouble is I have 2 kids and want one for me... and my wife loves Animal Crossing (not yet out). I can see my family owning 4 of the flipping things!

Anything mario goes down nicely with us. I'll pm you when / if I get one. Ta!
 
You know, considering one of the key value adds of this product: Nintendo TVii, will definitely not be available to us, and a score of other things, I don't see any reason in paying the same/more for it than the Western world. Sorry. I'm rather going to forward the WiiU's money into a Unisa degree, get it, and emigrate to somewhere where value actually means something.
 
I answer 2, and i must add i am a huge fan of Nintendo, since the NES days.
I own ever console they ever made, except the Virtual boy, and 3DS which i want.
However this is the first time i have to say im simply not interested in this new console.
It just turns me off and i cannot specifically say why.
I bought a slim Xbox last week, and could have easily waited and paid for a WiiU then, perhaps im just not confident in Nintendo's current decision to play catch up in this generation, on the dawn of a new one, by which time the WiiU will look like old tech and end up being cheaper then a PS3.
Or pay so much for a machine a believe isn't cutting edge, despite knowing that, Nintendo doesn't follow the market.
I am looking forward to the New Xbox and Playstation, and even Ouya, if it ever takes off....

Ouya looks like vapourware and other than xbox, I think you might wait a looong time for another console. I think the whole industry has hit the doldrums.

Good plan on the degree, but I'd just get a strongvpn account for R55 per annum to fix the TV problem ;)

Strongvpn is fantastic, used it for some time with Netflix, worked like a bomb. You're right, circumvent rater.

True that! How are you enjoying Xbox? I'm tempted and would be particularly interested in the move stuff but don't know how well it actually plays...

Depends entirely on what you want to play I guess. Xbox = Black Ops 2 / Halo 4 / Gears of War 3 has very active local communities, lots of fun shooting random people from Port Elizabeth.

I would stay away from PS3, unless you really like soccer, samusas, and BMW M3s

The only reason to buy Nintendo for any reason ever, is Monster Hunter.
 
I own a Wii and wouldn't mind getting the Wii U in the future but first have to see what titles will be on it and wait till all the bugs are ironed out in the first few releases.

I did, its cewl. On startup, just set your location to UK, Africa doesn't have an e-shop, I think they think black people can't process the TV refresh rate of overseas downloadable content or something, racists..

TELL US MORE! A vid or two. What games do you have? How is the playability? Does it do 3D? Have you hacked it yet? Why not? :)

Get an SSD for your netbook. Unless it's Atom based it'll fly.

Well, I got nintendoland, zombiu, and NSMBU, all incredibly awesome games, but, at like R5500 for this bundle, it leaves a nasty taste in my mouth, it's a really cool kit, but the price isn't justified, I'm going to have to resort to piracy ASAP to counterbalance the loss in value due to EVERY.****ING.THING being so P**S overpriced in this f****p P**S place! >:

There's no Netflix in SA so torrents are perfectly fine for TV Series.

Games are a different matter. We have mostly what the other countries have.

LOL! Netflix are NOT the only place to get TV series in South Africa. Don't tell me you can't use Amazon for one :p
You are a pirate by the lawmakers definition, it doesn't matter what you call yourself.

@Saffakanera, I'm with you on that. I want to wait until I can homebrew my machine. It may take a year though.
