will allergex help me with cats...

There really isn't anything you can take that I have found. I'm highly allergic to cats. I will under no circumstances stay in a house with cats, or allow cats into my house. The last time I stayed with cat owners, my eyes were like flames of hellfire the next morning and I couldn't breathe the whole night.

i used to be allergic until i got a cat

now im fine

so get a cat it works

Vacuum the carpets and couches. wash your hands after you touch the cat before touching your face or eating.

try keeping it our of your room so it can't go on the bed.

Heard you only get use 2 ur own cats

Same here not allergic to my own cats though but if I touch any friends cats or strangers I get allergies red eyes/sneezing same with dogs

I literally have to wash my hands constantly and not touch my eyes and stay away from their hair/dust when I go to friends

I got 2 cats and my mom has 2 so 4 altogether

I live on allergex and anti histamines, its all worth it for the joy my cats bring me.
Allergex helps but it does make you sleepy.

How long you had your cats for cause apparently taking medicine makes it harder for you to become immune to allergies from your own cats unless it kills you if you dont take it.

Well I am allergic to cats ( I feel like I have a cold, nose gets blocked throat itches and feels blocked and so I battle to sleep etc).

I am going down to Durban for 12 weeks with my gf to see her mum and she has 3 cats so just wondering.

So will allergex help me? :)

Thanks in advance

EDIT: NOT 12 WEEKS sorry sorry 12 days!!!

I'm allergic to both dogs and cats and found allergex to be rather useless. Go to the pharmacy and ask for "AP Loratidine". Much better.

3 yrs and been taking allergy pills forever

Had cats for 13 years here :D

Forgot to mention I still get allergies from my 3 dogs when I bring them inside once in a while when thunderstorms come.

It is probably cause I dont interact with them much, mostly get puffy eyes and tight throat even without touching them.

+1

Only thing that works for me.

If I remember correctly though, allergex doubles as pet meds - pretty sure that is the one our vet said we should give my dog when he got skin irritations etc.

Pharmacist recommended deslex.
feeling a little better....we'll see what happens in the next few days.

I really have a lot of sympathy for people who are allergic to cats.

They are missing out on an awesome pet :)

I use allergex, it works well for me. But if its really serious, I suggest a doctors visit for the best advice.

My doc was most put out when I wouldn't let her switch me off allergex. Especially since I enjoy the drowsiness! :D
