Yeah well! WBS you are useless.

All of a sudden iBurst at home dies, wife can't work!!
So I try to get to the www.iburst.co.za website, to check network status, with the following error:

Under Construction
The site you were trying to reach does not currently have a default page. It may be in the process of being upgraded.

Please try this site again later. If you still experience the problem, try contacting the Web site administrator.

Yep, cant ping my home router from work ... my connection must be toast too. Was working great after 12:30 last night.

Apparently all Basestations are down ... ETA 30 minutes

So many flashing red status base-stations...luvly...and WBS really think they are ready to run a QoS-based VoIP telephone system using their iBurst...yeah right...

BWAHAHAHA ... the best is that I couldn't access their site for a while from work ... running their website off a JHB connected UTD maybe? :D

IC, maybe that what the update was for, who knows :(
iBURST been down easy about 1 hour + could only connect now
I don't follow, what's this you say about an 'update'

This is the worst failure I've ever seen. Yep I can't ping my router at home either guys!
iBurst is a joke!!!

rofl, i love how rich says first 'maybe its an update for blah' and then in the next post he says 'thats what the update was for' like it was a fact and not something he made up ten minutes ago.

If they needed to install voip software it probably wouldn't even affect the iburst network, but lets just throw out that fact and pretend like it would... DON'T YOU THINK THEY'D SCHEDULE IT FOR A TIME OTHER THAN MOST OF THE WORK DAY ON A MONDAY ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE NOW TARGETTING BUSINESS TO USE IBURST??

I think because of their past update activities happening at like 3am on days within the weekend we can definatly rule out some magical VOIP update, it was definatly a problem that took the network down and NOT some schedules maintenence
