They are hypocrites, not too long ago,The EFF yesterday warned that they will not let Ramaphosa and Bheki Cele kill their people in KZN.
Funny though they claim they aren't involved in the Zuma mess.
Malema echoed a term used by corruption-accused former president Jacob Zuma - "judicial dictatorship" - and repeated the sentiments of the so-called RET grouping in the ANC that prosecutions were selective. He, however, denied that the EFF was part of "any faction in any political party".
“Thank you @ConCourtSA, for protecting our democracy and once more proving that we are all equal before the law. Strength cde President @PresJGZuma; this too shall pass,” he tweeted on Tuesday evening.
Utterly disgusting. If the courts do not follow through and he somehow gets away with it, it will further erode any respect there might be left for the rule of lawLIVE: Zuma not going to jail on Sunday as ConCourt agrees to hear application
AS IT HAPPENED | Zuma corruption trial: Pietermaritzburg High Court postpones matter until 10 August | News24
The Pietermaritzburg High Court has delivered the ruling on an application by incarcerated former president Jacob Zuma for a postponement in the 'arms deal' corruption case.www.news24.com
To be successful, Zuma will need to meet the requirements of the court rules he is relying upon for his application.
Attorney Ulrich Roux said, “you need to demonstrate that you as the applicant were not given a fair opportunity to state your case... he claims he was summarily sentenced to direct imprisonment without being given an opportunity to argue mitigation after conviction but this is disingenuous.
LinkThe Court asked him to file an affidavit in mitigation of sentence, in the event he is found guilty of contempt of court.
Instead, he sent a scathing 22-page letter to the Chief Justice, in which he referred to the bench’s political gimmicks.
So the court back tracked.
Well there goes any confidence that was left in the judiciary of South Africa.
So here are a few scenarios.
1. Zuma takes advantage of the time given and submits a proper, respectful document to the concourt in mitigation oif his current sentence.
2. Zuma vanishes into thin air and claims he had to because of his illness and treatment in Cuba.
Any suggestions as to which is likely?
What a waste of boolets.
