Like Atul?
Yes it appears as though the UAE is open to cooperate. They recently announced they'd had finally ratified an extradition treaty signed with South Africa several years ago

He'll land up being positive for COVID blah blah blah or pull a Sheik...IMHO
`You get that he has to be in jail to pull a Shaik, right, and that correctional services are quite adept at slapping on ankle irons and driving inmates to the local government hospital for medical treatment?

Nee, sit gaan hy sit.

I think there are lots of political reasons for the UAE seemingly co-operating now.. part of it might be because the US is investigating the Guptas for corruption and it might be problematic for the UAE if they aide and abet the family too much and all that given just how much US money flows in and out of that place.

He is already on plane to Cuba for 'medical reasons'.

The US is investigating the Guptas for sponsoring terrorism. Our hard worked for tax money pumped into enabling terror. A good story to tell.

He won't serve the full 15 months so I selected the second option.
However, any time spent will hopefully leave him ruminating about his fate going forward. He will have a criminal record which is good. Hopefully, the ANC puts their big boy pants on and kicks him out of the ANC membership. Then hopefully this sends a message to the rest of the corrupt that the rule of law is undiminished.
Yes he will have a record but then again so does most of parliament. It's almost a job requirement

None of us know. @Convict may have an idea how Zuma's sentence may be if he makes it to prison and how quick he may get out.

If you're given a luxury cell, why the need for "hospitalisation"?

Zuma made it through prison on Robben Island. I imagine currently he'd have many fans and would be treated well as an elder if nothing else. Am I wrong @Convict?

Yes he might get treated very well especially if he is in a prison in Natal. The way het gets treated will depend on the affiliation of the head of prison. If he is a Zuma man, he is going to have it much easier then the average prisoner.

Nope, and no high-ranking ANC member implicated in state capture will.

If they do serve time it will be a token 2-3 months and then ''health issues'' will see them under house arrest where they will be found on the nearest golf course.

EDIT: I hope I will have to eat humble pie, but I have zero faith in this whole Zondo Commission show trial.
Eating humble pie is a sign of weakness, if a high ranking member of the ANC ever goes to jail just do what everyone here does, move the goalposts and come up with a million reasonable explanations why you shouldn't eat humble pie.

Actually it won't even have to depend on that, he is a high profile person and unlike a common prisoner he is in a position to cause serious nyakanyaka for the Corrections department, so the head of the prison will make sure he is treated well even if he is no Zuma man.
