Car is currently being repaired with most parts having arrived. 90% of the parts needed to be imported. The initial pricing from Citroen SA was based on a Euro/ZAR rate from May 2016 when it was trading at about R17.50 to the Euro. As parts were not locally available, pricing was recalculated on the rate at mid August of about R15.00 to the Euro. This resulted the repair costs being well under the write-off limit.

Last quote received below.

Would like advice on what to look out for in the quote and what to check when I collect the car probably middle of next month.

Finally have her back. Damage was only cosmetic except for the radiator and aircon.

Driving perfectly. Only still need to test the auto turning lights that turn with the steering wheel.
