Will this be enough power?

Exactly.

Oh and that's 7 year warranty in the case of the HX series. :D

Yeah but then you need to ship it yourself right?

I've blown an HX in the course of 9 months and got a new one, but if it happens again i'm sure I'll need to rma myself, correct?
I don't think shipping a PSU around the world is gonna be cheap....so a "7 year warranty" is relative.

What makes you think that?

They can be RMAed locally.

Ah... I thought the stores only carry a 1 or 2 year "local store warranty" ?

I mean, if you buy a Plasma from makro you might get a 3 year warranty, but only the first year might be covered from Makro - after that you will need to take it to SamsungSA/LG/whatever yourself.

Well some stores at retail level are unethical by not providing the full manufacturer warranty.

Manufacturer warranty can always be claimed at supplier/distributor level, or at the official warranty/repair agents for said brand.

Btw, plasmas only have a 1 year warranty. Sometimes you can pay more for 2/3 year through the store, where the store would cover the additional 1/2 years - I firmly believe in taking this out if you have the option. :)

LCD TV's also only generally have a 1 year warranty. At least with Samsung/LG.

To be honest when someone is in a big city like Jo'burg where there are plenty of other r/etailers, I recommend they buy there - will make after-sales service/warranty swap-outs easier for the customer. :)

Thanks for the mention though!

Thanks guys, have been outa the loop for a while and didnt really have much to do with PCs for the last couple o years. So don't really know the go to places anymore...

Corsair FTW!

Please stay away from Odin, cougars etc etc :)

I have a Coolermaster, but now I wish I bought a better Corsair, bacause now I don't have enough power to go X-fire :(

Hmmm... failure to plan caused a plan for failure?

I like my Coolermaster. Gx550.
VERY stable, and not too loud.
Runs pretty cool too.

I don't plan on getting SLi/XF anywhere in the future, nor do I plan on running multitudes of drives or other extra's.

Got a pretty dang good price on it too.

SLI / Xfire is overrated anyway, don't feel too bad.

So Creature, what Chassis are you planning on?
