With the Ultra, yes. I guess it's just choices, most decoders give some individuality of sorts. But there are always their pinned issues.

Maybe it's how we grew up. My generation recorded everything, I would rather capture and then watch when I choose, no tech issues or expiry worries.

I only really stream from Showmax at the mo, hate that I can't legally record it.

Sop, you mean even less reason to get this dstv crap? I never have issues with buffering on netflix or prime or espn or youtube and my fibre link is way less than 100mbps.

DSTV Now used to be very sketchy, must admit, I watched Chasing the Sun recently in HD and had no problems with drop outs - a lot better than it used to be.
 
DSTV without recording capabilities is a waste, so this streaming service is of no use to me.
 
If DSTV had any sort of brain they'd make their premium package the same price as Netflix or Amazon prime R169pm for just their streaming service and then maybe just maybe people will sign on. But it's still a tough sell. Not had DSTV for 1 decade and man the freedom of choice to watch what I want is still greater than what DSTV will ever be. But yea, it would have made heads turn if they did premium at R169 or even R200pm

But "they" will never do it cause they have no brains

Even if they split it into Entertainment / Movies / Sports packages and let people subscribe to the one(s) they wanted. But no, it's all or nothing so I'll take nothing.
