$4.99 pm for F1 TV is all I need for sport. And it's available locally - no smart DNS stuff needed.
 
What about cricket / rugby?
Can't see much being available on other platforms for rugby, but maybe cricket?
 
And the other one (also has its own channel on DStv) - tennis?

And if not live, maybe delayed?

Cricket is usually not a problem, you might not get full HD, but apps like Live Net TV usually have, and quality is not top notch, but usefully decent. Watched a few IPL games at a mates that way. Tennis, I couldn't give a fig about.
 
The moment they decouple the satellite and streaming service then the satellite service will be propelled into obsoleteness. Who knows, maybe that is what they want now with broadband being 'mass' adopted.

I won’t like it, they can then take my premium sub and shove it.

It's thought doubtful, too many in Southern Africa have invested in satellite decoder tech, and the MultiChoice group (parent to the MC we know) largely "own" the newer IS36 satellite used here which is still young.
In time probably.

I think they don’t have a strategy to separate their two products. A premium subscriber has the means to stream. Essentially, a lower price would have encouraged premium subscribers to migrate to the streaming service. Why, because Multichoice doesn’t know how to add value.

A lower-priced streaming service would have made much more sense, but they don’t want to eradicate their satellite market (and product). They lack initiative, they should make the streaming service more accessible and give more incentive to the satellite product because Joox and Showmax aren’t enough to be convincing. Generally, I think they are managing the DSTV service wrong, and more opportunity should be sought with their competition which I believe is happening, but at the current situation is not helping their pricing strategy, neither their product positioning.

I won’t know I am not a Multichoice employee. I am a customer with an opinion who has a wallet to vote with.

They know, they got their balls in a tight crack, but their is not enough initiative and guts, to try and save their balls, without losing their hands as well. So they will end up losing their balls to that tight crack, anyhow. Dipshits, all of them.
 
One really needs to consider what DSTV is on about. One the one hand with the COVID pandemic, there isnt much sport to watch and on the other hand, there is strong demand for movies and shows to stream (and gaming). One has to feel that DSTV is caught in a conundrum. Have the sports (or half of it) bundled with Premium discounted or perhaps have a standalone Premium (with Mnet shows) without sports. If they do not adopt to what the market wants, then perhaps alot of value will be eroded by the time this pandemic is over.

Tough, they got problems, funny so fo I, anc personally, I couldn't gi e two joots for theirs, and I accept that the feeli v is mutual. I will spend my money better elsewhere.

Hopefully 2 full buckets, totaling 7 gallons. Equally hopefully, you have not put the 2 gallon bucket inside the 5 gallon bucket because it is easier to carry. Then you end up with 5 gallons minus the volume of the 2 gallon bucket.

I thought that all worked with 3 and 5 gallons, wanting to get 4 from it.
 
Greedy greedy, compared to other streaming services that's available on the net, dstv streaming is the worst, even with the dollar exchange rate.
 
I won't cancel in a heartbeat if I could get local rugby on another easily accessible platform with South African commentary.. Right now I'm paying R900 to watch a couple of games a rugby a month. :sick:
