Well can't wait for Wimbledon to start next week Monday. My money is on Federer (like always). Believe he has it in him to take it a consecutive 6th time! :D

Maybe an competition on this one, rpm? Maybe men's and ladies (as it is an open race, with the upset in the French Open) :)

Juan Monaco (ARG), Juan Ignacio Chela (ARG) and Carlos Moya (ESP) have withdrawn from the men's singles. Akiko Morigami of Japan has withdrawn from the ladies' singles.

RE: Kiepie

It's been like that for almost every match I have happened to watch...very annoying indeed!

Strange that you mention the lagging sound. I've got an RF feed to one TV. Channel 5 (on TV) is set up on DSTV, Channel 7 (on TV) is setup on DVD recorder which feeds directly from DSTV via AV. Both then goes into RF which feeds the rest of the house as well as the TV mentioned above. Ch 5...no lag but bad picture, Ch 7..I'd say half a sec lag but good picture .

Wimbledon is awesome though...

Some really good seed players falling out early... Think its between the William sisters and Federer and Nadal...

Was shocked at Jankovic falling out (seeded nr2), was the ankle maybe (only heard about it). But so many times these top seeded players fall out because they play on the lower courts (Courts 6-18 ect.) (was a big topic a year or so ago)

It's gonna be extremely difficult for any player to beat Nadal on any surface on current form. He is playing unbelievable tennis at the moment. Vastly improved first serve, very solid backhand and just ridiculous spin and precision on the forehand side. Add to that hardly any unforced errors and supreme physical condition and you have the ultimate player on current form. Federer is playing great and has not lost a single set thus far at Wimby but he won't beat Nadal this year. Hopefully it will turn out to be a great final like it was last year.

On the womens side it's extremely likely to be an all Williams final and I pick Serena to beat Venus. Serena at her best should be slightly better than her older sister.

Don't think Nadal will ever have a better chance to beat Federer. This is the time!!!

The facts are that Nadal is improving every facet of his game and should now be a serious threat at all the Slams, not just at Roland Garros. Depending on if he stays fit with no serious injuries or burnout, he will take Fed's no 1 place in the rankings. It's just a matter of when, not if.

I'm a Federer fan and reckon this is the year that Nadal takes over.:(
He'll probably also overtake Sampras' grand slam record.

Federer fan here too but I'm recognizing that Nadal has the tools to beat him. It's such a pity that because of only one player Federer has been denied the Grand Slam(winning all four majors in one year for '06 and '07) and is so close to breaking the Wimbledon record for consecutive wins.

Same here, really holding thumbs. Hope Federer can do it, but doubt it. :(

What a weekend of sport on TV!

Semi final tennis today, Currie Cup

Finals of the Ladies tomorrow and hopefully without rain the men's final on Sunday!

Oh, don't forget the Boks, F1 ect ect... :D :D :D

GO FEDERER! :)

Missed the whole game today! So disgusted with myself, was at work the whole day! Argh, need to stay away from this thread till I watched the replays! :D

Mens final!

Nadal looked invincible leading up to the semi but federer must be smiling after nadal struggled in the 2nd set. Gonna be great, will have to flip back and forth to the british GP as well.
Go Federer!
