Hi Folks, I’m hoping I can get a working resolution to this issue.

I got the dreaded blue screen starting up my acer laptop running Windows 10.

After googling numerous solutions it seems I’ve hit an impasse.

Ideally I’d like to retain my data and I’m hoping that somebody has a fix

You can also install Windows 10 by overwriting your previous install. Keeps your data but programs needs to be installed again.

*Also clutters your HDD/SSD. Not preferred as an option for me.

Have you tried a "Last known good config" on boot?

Log in via Safe Mode and uninstall any recent updates.

Just an update, I created a bootable USB and solved the problem.

Data saved via a partition on the harddrive
