gone through dozens of forums to try fix this error on trying to update win 10,
0x800f0922

System reserved partition size is 6GB, and its about 66MB full, so space is definitely not an issue,

what else can I try here? somewhere else to check?

drive total space is 256GB, OS partition is 217.56GB total, free space is 57.6GB so again plenty of space available.
is this one of those weird windows errors that makes zero sense?

reload windows .it takes very little time ,something in the system is missing ,not worth trying to diagnose

no other better way than the nuclear option?
nobody had this problem before and found a solution?
nah .nuke it .easier also cleans all the cobwebs out .something probably got missing during a power dip or spike or when the cat walked past the computer. .

found a solution, if anybody stumbles across this thread,

Installed the Win 10 Upgrade assistant and let it "upgrade" itself,

seems a bit counterproductive as windows was running fine, just wouldn't update and kept complaining about something that made no sense.
thankfully kept everything intact,
