Hi guys,

So I finally updated to the latest Windows update (Creators Update).
Besides that all my Start Menu Icons got messed up I sit with the following annoying issue for a majority of the Start Menu shortcuts:

IMG_OPC_20171230_184639img.jpg

All the shortcuts in the "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" have been duplicated.
The original Shortcuts are not working anymore and have been replaced with a Duplicate(1).

Any advice will be appreciated.

I hear Ubuntu works pretty well....

More seriously you can find those shortcuts here: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

It's going to be a PITA but you can delete or reset the old; or rename the new ones.

I found the same issue after updating my machine but haven't looked further into how to resolve.

I think the issue is because my Library Folders are on a different Hard Drive than my OS. There is also an issue, since the update, that external devices that are unplugged still shows connected. Busy backing up my PC and will do a clean Reset today. Such a pain.

Why upgrade to an old one when the fall creators update (1709) is already out?
