Windows 10 - is it ****?

I've been running Win10 since forever on multiple PC's - it's MS's best o/s that I've used.

Of course, if you're a paranoid person who believes that M$ is out to get you and sell all your telemetry data to the darkweb, the CIA and the Russian Mafia, then I would avoid it like plague.

PS: The latest version DOES have a rather irritating 'feature' which allows Microsoft to push 'ads' into File Explorer, but I'm not sure how intrusive it is since I haven't upgraded to that version yet.

But yah, Win10 isn't a nightmare for me - I'm very happy with it.

In a discussion yesterday, I went so far as to say it was the love child of WinXP SP3 and Windows 7 with a new interface.
WinXP became a really good mature product by SP3 while Windows 7 was just all kinds of great. Hated 8 and 8.1
Really digging Win10.

also, extra windows that open up for no reason, like connecting a VPN, you cant just click on the network icon then connect at the vpn connection, now you have to go to the settings window first and connect there, wtf they do this I don't understand.

that creative update removing right click from the windows button is dumb. really dumb, why on earth do they allow app shortcut icons but remove navigation shortcuts.

i can only think some snowflake took offence somehow. its the trend these days. :D

I think I used Win10 all of 30 - 45 minuts on someone elses laptop since its launch. Soon I'll be building a new PC and it's getting Win10 Pro, I already baught the licence. If I could, I probably would have installed Win7 on this new machine again because it does the job for me, but a change is as good as a holiday and I'm kind of looking forward to Win10.
