I seem to remember someone here talking about 2GB +- worth of updates but Windows Update finds nothing for me.

I only had a 128MB update the other day, didn't seem to change anything drastic.

Because the actual ISO file they offer for download is also being updated constantly. You probably downloaded a version that already had all the problems fixed they identified this far. Hang on tight, more updates are sure to come :)

What size is the ISO file? I have d/loaded it 6 times and each time it stops with the answer "unknown end of archive" The first download stopped at 164mb, and I am sure it is supposed to be around 800mb

Maybe he is like me and cannot successfully download an ISO file. It would be easier to make a copy from someone else's disc

I am in Cape Town southern suburbs

If needed, and you are in Wynberg / Plumstead, I can put iso on DVD for you...

EDIT: 64bit version I have.

There is always a choice: 1. Press "WIN+R" keys together to launch RUN dialog box and type regedit and press Enter. It'll open Registry Editor.

2. Now go to following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update

3- Right-click "AUOptions" from the right pane and then select "Modify" from the context menu.
Change the value to "0" and then click "OK".

4. Close Registry Editor and restart Windows to take effect. It'll completely turn off Auto Updates in windows 10 Technical Preview.

Much easier alternative: Pull power cord from the machine. Never plug it back in.
