Android apps coming to Windows 11

Windows 11 will let you download and use Android apps straight from the Microsoft Store, the company's chief product officer, Panos Panay, has announced.

The apps are available thanks Intel Bridge technology and a partnership with the Amazon App Store.

Bringing the Android apps on Amazon's app store to the Microsoft Store will vastly increase the number of applications available through the platform.

Microsoft also announced that the store itself will see a complete revamp, having been rebuilt from the ground up specifically for speed.

Then I am not interested. Fragmentation isn't what I support. Android apps are all over the place.

Yeah hopefully you'll be able to sideload apps but I have my doubts.

Now to find a way to put my pc in my pocket.

Some apps will be very useful on pc/laptop, for me the most useful will be Ewelink for Sonoff switches, Xiaomi for the vacuum and I prefer the Youtube music app over the browser version.

I always thought it isnt possible to run Linux nativly inside windows, unless WINE is now built in? or something else is going on.

Probably using WSL the same way Docker Desktop uses WSL to run all the Linux build scripts.
