Windows 7 a Linux killer?

windows will never be able to cause the end of linux
even if it is free the code will never be open

if not for open source i would not have been able to have pvr functionality
from a entry level tuner card and old pc at a cost of R400 while going the windows route at that time 3 years ago would have meant paying double that
just for the operating system. which only supported expensive pvr cards.

and this pc rarely has to rebooted

Kudos... there is a lot I have done with the aide of opensource that would have worked out way to expensive with closed source.
