I battled a bit to sort out all my space and partitions at home. But finally got it right. Still updating some drivers but here are the stats so far:
Base score 5.5
Processor: CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 7.1
Memory: 5.5
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) 7.9
Gaming graphics 1407 MB Total available graphics memory 6.0
HDD: 5.9 Seagate
Soon as the Nvidia drivers install I'll run it again

Got the same score again with the new drivers.. but scrolling through the browser now seems all shaky :/

I had a 6.3 just after installing Windows 7 64 bit for my graphics card, 6800GT.
After Windows Update found newer drivers, it went down to 5.9.

Thats wierd.. but i guess the drivers are all still pre-release. Need to do something about my RAM. But I do only have 2 gigs installed right now so I guess its not to bad.

I'm coming a li'l late to the party here and, like most I guess, would really rather avoid around 7gigs of downloading; does anyone in northern Jozi have it to copy?

Internet explorer does not work.Type anything into search and it freezes.
Copying anything from an external or internal drive to any location freezes at 99 % download.
Watching anything on windows media player from a storage drive also freezes at about 10 minutes at a time.Ive changed my overclock to std. in the hope that may be the problem but to no avail..
My clean 32 bit install though, works like a dream.
Next is to clean install 64 bit version..

download link works fine, my cap was reached last week and so far it has downloaded 400Mb

I've got almost the same system as you. Q6600, Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6, Corsair extreme RAM, and the 8800 GTS. Never tried to overclock before, but tried this weekend and all I could get right was my RAM, If I tried to adjust the CPU's settings even the smallest amount, Windows wouldn't load.
