Wow Windows 7 is pretty decent.

I get 5.8 for my hdd and its a stupid 80GB IDE hdd. SO i can't understand why its so high compared to you guys. My cpu is a normal 3.2GHz Pentium 4 CPU and it has a 1.8 rating. My lowest!
 
Minus the hiccups I had on the first day today has been pretty good, I think I'm gonna use this as my main OS.

Only serious issue is not being able to run the GTAIV benchmark but hopefully R* will patch it soon.
 
considering its beta 1- its really not bad; xp's beta 1 was really bad.....
 
Got it running on my 3 year old HP laptop!

Not as responsive as XP, but only by a slight margin ... and it is pretty nice. I might just get to like this.
 
I'm using a old pata 80GB atm with it.
Decided to format my main drive with it and see how it goes. I don't know if its just the 64-bit speed im seeing (i have 4gb ram, and Vista 32-bit so its not being used) but really looking good. After spending an entire evening last night throwing my apps on was quite impressed. Going back to Vista at work this morning was terrible.

Anyone else notice the small box bottom right next to time? If you move the mouse bottom right at any time it shows the desktop. Quite a nice feature if your working with sensitive data.
 
I find the windows plus D work just fine for that brawler :).

I dunno i stopped using it because to be honest it felt like vista to me :), also it would not installed corel draw x4 so no point in trying to use it as my main OS.

Have you never stumbled your fingers all over the place pressing everything BUT win D. Can be quite embarrassing :o:p

I did do this, it downloaded the driver and installed. But my warcraft3 is still slow as hell.

Anyone else have windows 7 on the following config and maybe playing warcraft3 or any games for that matter?

2gig ram
Geforce 7900GS

I did refresh the Windows Experience Index... If that helps?

Maybe we should start a Windows 7 Beta Drivers thread, cause I need drivers for the ADI AD1986A SoundMAX. Windows did install drivers, but I had no audio. I used the Vista 64bit driver and it installed, but it's still not working... :(

NVM this, I downloaded another windows update and restarted again and now everything seems to be fine, except my sound. :(

I used the show desktop Icon all the time in vista.
